Belonia Tower
Location: outside of Galanado, at the Livadi plain
Description: this is a Venetian Tower that was residence of the Venetian lord of the area, and dates back most probably to the 16th century. Today’s owner is Michael Maragos, also owner of the Lorentano Manor, at the Kastro in the Chora. The twin church of St. John’s is preserved here, that both Orthodox and Catholics used; while the Coat of Arms of the Belonia family is built-in on one side of the exterior wall.
