Location: at Apiranthos village
Description: it is also called the Sfortsa - Kastri Tower. The latter names were some of the most important families of the island and “t’ Aperathou” (Apiranthos), a notable fiefdom of theirs, during the 17th century. Bardani Tower and Zevgoli Tower, also in Apiranthos village, reverted to the families of today’s owners immediately after the revolution of 1821, because Apiranthos was the first area on Naxos emancipated from feudal rule.
